Accommodation at Kameel consists of two camps , Maroela and Knoppiesdoring
Work is still in progress at Maroela so only Knoppiesdoring is currently available.
Knoppiesdoring Camp is the more basic camp, yet is still tastefully furnished – The camp is designed around a central lapa and consists of 3 chalets and a separate kitchen/patio area.
Each chalet can sleep up to six people in a single room under thatch, and has an open air bathroom made up of a basin, toilet and shower – the bathroom part of the chalet and is fenced by a small wall of brick and poles – very natural.
The kitchen area comes fully equipped with a gas stove, electrical chest freezer and an upright fridge/freezer. All utensils for 12 people are supplied, from plates and mugs to braai grids and potjies.The patio is delightfully cool during the day and is supplied with chairs and tables.
The lapa is the main entertainment area and has enough space to appreciate a hearty bushveld braai – folding chairs are supplied as are lanterns to create the right atmosphere
Duvets, towels, cushions and other accessories are supplied so only bring your food, drinks and personal equipment –please remember a torch.
Water is fresh palatable borehole water and is warmed with gas geysers – power is available via solar panels and supply electricity for lights, fans and the fridges.
